CTK Retreats

Tiger Awakening

  • A once-a-semester weekend retreat FOR college students and run BY college students in the Fall & Spring Semesters at LSU. You can attend the retreat once, and staff any Awakening retreat after that. Check the Calendar for this semester’s retreat.

Busy Person’s Retreat

  • Want to grow closer to God but can’t get away for a retreat? This a 1 hour daily commitment that fits into your schedule for one week and takes place at Christ the King in the Fall and Spring Semesters.
  • It is open to undergrads, grad students, young professionals and parishioners. The next retreat is TBA.

Student Leadership Retreat

  • The kick-off retreat for all CTK students involved in Student Leadership for the upcoming school year that takes place at the beginning of the Fall Semester.

Arise

  • The Freshman retreat to welcome and orient all new LSU students to Christ the King at the beginning of the Fall Semester!

Senior Retreat (Spring Semester – put on by CTK Graduates)

  • A one day retreat in the Spring for undergraduate seniors who are preparing for post-graduate life whether entering a career, graduate school, or still figuring it out. The next retreat is TBA.

Musician Retreat

  • Musicians from CTK’s liturgical choirs, student worship bands, and the parish at large gather together to grow in key areas of their lives as musicians and Catholics. The next retreat is TBA.

Pilgrimages

March for Life

  • Serve as a college mentor to high school students on the Diocese of Baton Rouge’s bus pilgrimage to Washington D.C. in January. Learn more here.

World Youth Day

  • Pilgrims from all around the world come together with many young people to pray, worship, and celebrate the Catholic faith. The next International World Youth Day is Lisbon 2023. Details about a CTK trip are TBD.

SEEK

  • Join thousands of other Catholic College Students from around the country at this FOCUS Conference once a year. Register with the LSU FOCUS missionaries for pricing, group transportation, and scholarship information.

Discernment Retreats

  • For those interested in learning more about the priesthood, religious, or consecrated life please contact the Office of Vocations. There are also a variety of orders on display with information located outside the Portiuncula Adoration Chapel at CTK.

Camino Manresa

  • A 3-day silent retreat each May for young adults (men & women) in Convent, Louisiana at the Manresa House of Retreats. Please contact Fr Nathan O’Halloran for more information.

Greek Retreat

  • Once a year in the Spring Semester, UL-Lafayette hosts a retreat specifically for those involved in fraternities and sororities. Students active in LSU Greek Life should contact the LSU FOCUS missionaries to register.

ECHO

  • A Dumb Ox Ministries retreat that will dive in, unpack, and process the themes of prayer, our identity, and our mission to love.
