DESCRIPTION:“I was sick\, and you visited me.”(Mt. 25:36) \nPope Francis often reminded us “We live in a ‘throwaway culture\, ‘which uses people only so long as they are useful\, after which the person is only a bother to society.” Many elderly in our nursing homes are abandoned and neglected by their families\, and the loneliness and social isolation have harmful consequences on their psychological\, emotional and physical well-being. Our intention is to be antagonists against the prevailing ‘throwaway culture’\, by befriending and loving our elders. “Let us not abandon them and never allow them to be cast aside!” \nWe will be going to St. Clare Manor every other Sunday from 3-4:30 p.m. We will leave from the CTK parking lot at 2:45 p.m. Please contact Evan White at epwhite99@gmail.com for more information. \nFall 2025 Nursing Home Ministry Dates:\nSept. 7\nSept. 21\nOct. 5\nOct. 26\nNov. 9\nNov. 23\nDec. 7 (advent caroling)
