ALPHA

Alpha is a 9 week series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each night looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation in a judgment free environment.

No two Alphas look the same, but they generally have three key things in common: food, a question, and good conversation.

First, Food

We start with food, because it’s a great way to encourage community and get to know each other.

Then, a Question

The questions are designed to engage and inspire conversation. Generally we’ll spend thirty minutes here, given as a live talk or played as a video. They explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions such as “Who is Jesus?” and “How can we have faith?”

Finally, Discussion

Probably the most important part of any Alpha: the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, and simply discuss it in a small group. There’s no obligation for you to say anything. And there’s nothing you can’t say. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.

FAQs

No registration necessary. If you come, we won’t call you after, write, or ask you to pick up the check. What do you have to lose? Stop by for the next available ALPHA night.

Of course! Anyone and everyone is welcome to ALPHA nights. It’s an open opportunity to explore the deeper questions of life in an honest, friendly environment. Join us at the next ALPHA night!

Each night will begin with a welcome, food, and a presentation. The final segment of the night is possibly the most important – small group discussion. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you shouldn’t say (seriously). It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.

No, you can come just to try it out or for a specific week/question you are interested in.

The questions do build on themselves so you may find it more helpful to come to one of the earlier weeks but again, you can come just once or as many times as you like!

We gather at 7pm and share a meal together.

Typically we’ll spend about 30 minutes diving into the specific question of that week.

In the remaining time until 8:30pm unpack your unique perspective in open discussion. This is a non-judgement zone so you can agree/disagree or question the material.

The night usually wraps up around 8:30pm.
